Dr Eshani Karu MD / Covid-19 / Stop the Virus from Spreading

Dr Eshani Karu MD – Covid-19
– Stop the Spread
The United States Center
for Disease Control (CDC) has told us on their website there is no vaccine for
the prevention of Covid-19, which is also known as coronavirus.  But there are ways that we can protect
ourselves.

It’s obvious, but if we
stay away from sick people, we won’t get sick.
But do we know who is sick?  We
don’t.  The CDC also tells us that the
virus is transmitted to us by people who show no outward signs of the virus.  However, if we stay 6 week away from
strangers and family members we are not living with, we have taken a major step
towards self protection.

The virus is spread by
liquid droplets infected with the virus.
When people cough, sneeze and even spray talkers – droplets are let
loose in the air and they have a tendency or a high probability of landing on
us, either by coming in contact with our nose, mouth, eyes and even in some
cases the droplets make it through our nose and into the lungs.

People cough, sneeze and
talk excitedly; remember the playground banter of “Say it, don’t spray it!”  So the best preventative medicine is to stay
six feet away from people, wear a mask if you must leave the house, stay at
home if at all possible and that is Virus Protection.
